Arthur Osman has been a leader in the financial advice industry for over 25 years supporting the growth and development of the most successful wealth management firms that support the financial institution and independent advisor channels. Throughout his career, Arthur has worked directly with hundreds of financial institutions, wealth management firms and executives across the country helping firms and leaders grow, transform, and reach their fullest business and leadership potential.
As founder and Managing Director of Arthur Osman & Company, Mr. Osman focuses on helping executives and organizations in the financial advice community assess their businesses, organizations, and teams and works as a consultant, coach, and executive for hire on their most important business priorities. Before launching Arthur Osman & Company, Arthur began his consulting practice and career as a Principal at Kehrer Bielan Research & Consulting.
For most of his career, Mr. Osman grew and led the financial institution wealth management business for LPL Financial, the industry leading NASDAQ-traded wealth management firm. Mr. Osman held leadership positions responsible for strategy development, growth, and retention of a business line that included 800 financial institutions and broker dealers, 5,000 financial advisors, $250 billion in assets, and over $700 million in annual revenue.
Previously, Mr. Osman was in senior leadership at UVEST Financial Services, a small financial institution-focused broker/dealer acquired by LPL Financial in 2007, that had approximately 40 employees, 50 financial institution partnerships, and generated $50 million in annual revenue at the time he joined the firm in 1997. Collectively, Mr. Osman was responsible for leading a business line that grew from $50 million to $700 million in annual revenue, evolving from a small company to a Fortune 500 company publicly traded company.
Mr. Osman has served in various industry and community organizations, including multiple terms as a board of director and executive officer of the Bank Insurance Securities Association (BISA) and has shared his insights at multiple industry events including the ABA, PROCU and the BISA. He also serves as board member of Mecklenburg Aquatic Club (aka SwimMAC Carolina), where he previously served as Board President. Mr. Osman lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and 3 children, and enjoys being the biggest fan at his kid’s events and competitions, is an avid boater, fisherman and enjoys golfing and exploring the outdoors.
Mr. Osman has been a leader in the financial advice industry for over 25 years developing an extensive expertise in the bank wealth management space. From his early days as a financial advisor through his 24 year tenure with LPL Financial and UVEST Financial (acquired by LPL in 2006) developing and leading the firm’s bank wealth management business, Mr. Osman held leadership positions in the areas of sales management, advisor recruiting, relationship management, business consulting, and compliance prior to executive leadership roles leading the firm’s bank wealth management business line.
Mr. Osman was responsible for driving the growth of the LPL Financial Institution Services business line generating $50 million in revenue through 40 financial institution B2B relationships to a $800 million revenue business with over 800 B2B financial institution relationships over two decades, through market leading growth driven both organically and through various acquisitions and mergers.
Throughout his tenure at LPL, Mr. Osman led more than a half-dozen acquisitions and mergers of broker/dealer and RIA firms, overseeing some of the largest transitions and conversions of financial business between firms in the brokerage industry. Mr. Osman also led and oversaw hundreds of individual financial institution broker/dealer transitions – making him one of the most experienced leaders in the industry when it comes to the decisions, plans, and outcomes firms experience when moving their businesses to a new provider and custodial partner.
Mr. Osman was also responsible for strategy and driving same store sales growth for LPL. He led various programs, initiatives and teams designed to help financial institutions and their advisors reach their fullest potential through consulting, training, and coaching programs, using technology and data analysis tools that leverage benchmarking and research. Mr. Osman led teams that supported clients with strategy, business case and plan design, and business transformation and optimization – leading to routine success in helping leaders create the conditions for success within their organizations.
Supporting the execution of wealth businesses and leaders in over 800 financial institutions across the country, Mr. Osman has had the opportunity to work directly with hundreds of financial institution wealth management businesses and executive leaders over the course of his career. Developing an expertise and penchant for how financial institutions create the conditions for long-term sustainable growth designed to reach their fullest potential, Mr. Osman arguably brings more practical experience and expertise to organizations and leaders in the areas of business optimization, transformation, and sales growth strategies than your typical consulting firm.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Osman has developed a strong executive leadership skillset, with considerable strengths in the areas of executive presence, executing a strong general management skillset, team and people leadership, and organizational and team culture transformation and management. Having navigated through the growth of a very small firm into a Fortune 500 Company, Mr. Osman has developed a diverse leadership skillset leading small, medium, and large teams and organizations with multiple spans and layers. Leading senior leaders, middle managers, and large teams helped develop formidable people management, coaching, and leadership skills that led to years of high team productivity, record level employee engagement results, and record career growth for various team members who worked closely with Mr. Osman.
His ability to marry business strategy with business execution, working with people and teams that performed at extremely high levels with a high amount of career growth within his teams is what Mr. Osman feels is his greatest success during his career. The professional and personal fulfillment and satisfaction that Mr. Osman experienced from this work is what led to Mr. Osman’s desire to move from executive leadership at one of the most successful firms in the nation, to pursuing the business and entrepreneurial efforts that leverage his expertise and experience in the financial institution wealth management business.
After leaving LPL Financial in July of 2021 after a 24-year tenure, Mr. Osman began the next phase of his career and joined Kehrer Bielan Research & Consulting. The aspiration was to build a consultancy and coaching practice where his expertise and experience in supporting financial institutions, wealth management firms, and executives would allow him to continue making an impact on organizations and leaders. Early efforts led to delivering impactful projects in areas like strategy development, performance optimization, organizational design and talent assessments, and business transformation.
Immediate success in the delivery of consulting engagements, coupled with Arthur’s desire to make an even bigger impact on institutions and leaders in the bank wealth management space, was the inspiration to create and launch Arthur Osman & Company, a full service consulting and coaching firm committed to helping wealth management businesses and leaders through consulting and coaching to reach their fullest potential.
